New Year's Resolutions



1 To grow in the knowledge of God's love

Do I know God's love? Am I aware that God's love for me is such that if I were the only person on earth, Jesus would have still died for me?


2 To deepen your prayer life

10-15 minutes a day is a great start.

3 To become more familiar with scripture

˜Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ.

4 To grow in Eucharistic wonder, amazement and awe

Instead of rushing out after Mass, just take a few minutes to pray.

5 To frequent the sacrament of reconciliation more

Don't put off going to confession any longer.

6 To learn to conquer an area of sin

We can overcome the weakness and sin in our lives.

7 To learn to control the tongue

St James taught that the tongue is like a fire which can ignite and cause great damage both to our selves and other people.

8 To read more spiritual books

9 To forgive and let go of resentment

10 To practise the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount
